Staff User Guide
Here is a set of instructions for the adidas Predator vs F50 — London Flagship Activation, explaining the game mechanics and the setup operation for a first-time user.
Activation Instructions: Predator vs F50 Challenge
This activation features two distinct football boot challenges — PREDATOR: Take Control and F50: Cause Chaos — within one arena at the London Flagship store. Participants compete to get on the leaderboard.
1. The Two Game Mechanics
Challenge | Boot Focus | Objective | Mechanic |
|---|---|---|---|
PREDATOR | Control (Precision & Stability) | Hit 9 targets in order from 1 to 9. | Players must follow a strict, sequential order. All about strategy and clinical accuracy. |
F50 | Chaos (Speed & Reaction) | Hit 9 targets in a random order. | The computer sets the random order, and the current target is shown on the iPad and cage screen. All about speed of mind and spontaneous instinct. |
Both games use nine targets and have a two-minute (120 seconds) time limit. Fastest time wins.
Winning Condition: Once all 9 targets have been hit, the game is over, and the completion time is registered.
2. The Consumer Journey (Start to Finish)
This is the step-by-step process for a participant and staff:
Step | Consumer Action | Staff/Store Action |
|---|---|---|
1. Boots & Queue | Enters the activation area, queues, chooses a boot (Predator or F50), and puts it on. | N/A |
2. Sign Up | Completes the Player Sign-Up & Waiver form on the iPad. | Staff must check for: Inappropriate Player Names and confirm that a Parent/Guardian signs if the participant is under 12 years |
3. Handover | Hands the iPad back to staff after confirming their details on the Handover page. | Confirms the sign-up. Taps 'CONTINUE' to begin the game once the player is ready in the cage. |
4. Game Play | Plays the selected challenge (Predator or F50) inside the cage. | Uses the iPad interface to manage the game (e.g., NEXT, PAUSE, RESTART). |
5. Results | Finishes the game (hits 9 targets or timer runs out). | The Game End / Results screen is displayed. Staff should prompt the player to check the Leaderboard on exit. |
6. Exit | Exits the experience area. | The Leaderboard updates with the latest score. |
